The incident took place around 5 p.m. in the area of Bronson and Viewmont, where gunfire erupted under still-unconfirmed circumstances. According to Renton police, the victims attempted to flee the scene and drove to the 700 block of Rainier Avenue South in search of assistance.
When officers arrived at the second location, they discovered one victim deceased inside the vehicle. A second individual was injured and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not yet been disclosed.

Detectives have not yet determined what led to the shooting and say the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they work to piece together the events leading up to the violence.
