Motorcyclist Killed in I-90 Crash; 22-Year-Old Driver Faces DUI Charge

A 63-year-old man from Seattle lost his life in a tragic motorcycle crash on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg over the weekend.

The fatal collision occurred on the westbound side of I-90, approximately six miles from the city, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP). Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was struck from behind by a Jeep, which led to a secondary impact involving a third vehicle.

Despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported among the individuals involved.

The 22-year-old driver of the Jeep was taken into custody and faces a DUI charge in connection to the incident. WSP continues to investigate the sequence of events that led to the deadly crash.
