Authorities have not made any arrests at this time. The case is being treated as a homicide, and both detectives and crime scene investigators remain actively involved in the ongoing investigation.

This shooting happened only a few blocks from the site of another fatal incident involving a teenager earlier this month. That separate shooting took place near Portland Avenue, between East 43rd and East 44th streets.

Police have yet to identify suspects in either case, and it’s currently unknown whether the two shootings are connected.

Tacoma PD is urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to search for answers in both cases .
